What the Bible Says about waiting on God

Sometimes, we have to wait for things, like a surprise gift or a special event. Did you know that even in the Bible, it talks about waiting for God? Let's explore some simple verses that teach us about patience and faith when we have to wait for God.

1. Isaiah 40:31:  "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

This verse says that when we trust in God and wait for Him, He gives us the strength to do amazing things, just like eagles can soar in the sky without getting tired.

2. Psalm 27:14:  "Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord."

This verse tells us to be strong and brave while waiting for God. He will help us, and we don't need to be afraid.

3. Lamentations 3:25-26: "The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord."

This part of the Bible says that when we hope in God and wait for His help, it's a good thing. God takes care of those who trust in Him.

4. Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

Here, we learn that we should trust God with all our hearts and not try to figure everything out on our own.

5. Romans 8:25: " But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it."

This verse reminds us that waiting is part of hoping. When we hope for something with patience, it means we believe it will come true, even if it takes a little while.

When we have to wait for something, we can remember these Bible verses. They teach us that waiting for God is a way to show we trust Him. So, don't worry if you have to wait sometimes. God is with you, and His timing is always right.
