Are you done learning?

There's a lot of Christian people that are set in their beliefs.

They come up against people that question their beliefs. I am not saying their beliefs in God. Because it's wrong to question God and His word. But what I am saying is...there are many Christian people that are set in beliefs on certain topics.

Some topics that they hold as gospel, but they're not clear in scripture.

If your belief can't be backed up with scripture (or you use a scripture out of context)

then this is wrong, and it has to stop. I see so many Christians that are done learning.

They are happy with how they believe. They have arrived.

To change their belief on something will state that they were wrong about something. And pride can get in the way of that.

So my two questions for you are... Are your beliefs clear in scripture? And, are you done learning?

Reasons Why People Should Live For Jesus

Dear Friend,

I hope this letter finds you well. I want to take a moment to talk to you about someone who has completely transformed my life - Jesus Christ. He's not just a historical figure or a religious symbol; He's a living presence that has brought me immeasurable peace, joy, and purpose.

Jesus walked this earth over two thousand years ago, yet His teachings and His love continue to resonate with people all around the world. He spoke of love, forgiveness, and redemption - concepts that seem simple yet hold profound meaning. His life was a testament to compassion, humility, and selflessness. He healed the sick, comforted the brokenhearted, and challenged the status quo.

But despite His undeniable influence, many people struggle to fully embrace Jesus and live for Him. Some may find it difficult to reconcile their own desires and ambitions with His teachings. Others may feel unworthy of His love or burdened by guilt and shame. And still, others may be deterred by doubts, skepticism, or the distractions of the world.

Yet, the Bible provides answers to these common reasons why people may not fully live for Jesus:

1. **Desires and Ambitions**: The Bible reminds us in Matthew 6:33 to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. When we prioritize Jesus above all else, our desires align with His will, and He guides us towards true fulfillment.

2. **Feelings of Unworthiness**: Romans 5:8 assures us that God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. No matter our past mistakes or shortcomings, Jesus offers unconditional love and acceptance to all who come to Him in faith.

3. **Doubts and Skepticism**: Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. When we seek Him earnestly, He reveals Himself to us, dispelling doubts and strengthening our faith.

4. **Worldly Distractions**: 1 John 2:15-17 warns us not to love the world or anything in the world, for everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. By fixing our eyes on Jesus and storing up treasures in heaven, we find lasting satisfaction that surpasses the fleeting pleasures of the world.

Friend, living for Jesus isn't always easy, but it's undoubtedly the most fulfilling and rewarding journey you can embark on. His love knows no bounds, His grace is limitless, and His promises are true. I pray that you'll open your heart to Him and experience the abundant life He offers.

With love

Private Interpretation in Denominations

There's a whirlwind of different beliefs out there, each denomination claiming to have the truth. But how can they all be right when they're saying different things? The answer is simpler than you might think: there's only one truth, and that's found in the word of God.

Many of these denominations base their teachings on someone's personal interpretation of scripture, which is why they end up with conflicting viewpoints. But here's the thing: the Bible is the same for everyone. So, instead of relying on others to tell us what it means, we need to read it for ourselves.

My parents taught me this from a young age. They encouraged me to dive into the Bible, to ask questions, and to search for answers within its pages. Sadly, not all denominations promote this independent study. Some just want us to accept what they say without question.

But how can we truly understand God's message if we don't ask questions and seek answers for ourselves? We should always encourage each other, to search the Bible for the truth.

It's hard to build a personal relationship with God when we're constantly being told what to believe. And in a world filled with so many different teachings, it's easy to feel lost. But I've realized that I can't rely on any denomination to have all the answers.

That's why I stand by the Bible. It's the ultimate source of truth. So, I read it, I ask questions, and I find answers. I tune out all the noise and focus on what the Bible actually says.

In a world where deception is rampant, it's more important than ever to read the Bible for ourselves. So, I urge you to do the same. Don't just accept what others say about the word—make sure it lines up with what the word actually says. That's the only way to find the truth.

Ask Jesus into your life

Giving your life to Jesus is a heartfelt decision where you invite Jesus Christ into your life and surrender yourself to His guidance and love. Here's a short summary of how to do it:

Giving your life to Jesus is a personal and transformational journey that leads to a deep and meaningful relationship with Him. It's a decision that can bring hope, purpose, and eternal life.

So if you are ready, say this prayer with me...

"Dear God,

I come before you asking you to forgive me of my sins.

I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord. I know Jesus is the son of God and holy messiah.

I believe that He died for my sins and rose again, offering me the gift of eternal life.

Please cleanse my heart and renew my spirit. I invite Jesus into my life to be my guide, companion but most importantly, my SAVIOR and Messiah.

Thank you, Lord, for your mercy and the promise of salvation. I commit to following You and living a life that reflects You and all Your commandments.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen."

Eliminating Distractions

Yesterday during my prayer time, I sought God's guidance to deepen my connection with Him and show me ways to draw nearer. I sensed a prompting in my spirit that eliminating distractions, particularly excessive YouTube consumption, was necessary. Despite the content being clean, I realized it wasn't aiding my spiritual growth.

Therefore, I've made the decision to cut back on YouTube viewing and engage in content that aligns with my spiritual journey, seeking videos that enrich my relationship with Jesus. I'm prioritizing activities that foster spiritual growth, recognizing the importance of utilizing my time wisely.

Ultimately, my focus is on pursuing a deeper connection with Jesus by forsaking distractions and centering my attention on Him.

I challenge you to do the same.

Quotes From AW Tozer's book, Delighting In God

Here are the quotes that stood out to me from AW Tozer's book, Delighting in God.

Quote 1~ Page 13

"Whenever you find a man of God, you will also find an overwhelming passion for God this almost beyond control. Not a curiosity about God, but a deep passion to experience God is all His Fullness. To know God is the one passion that drives a man into the very heart of God."

Quote 2~ Page 15
"To truly know God as He desires and deserves to be known is not a casual thing, but a lifelong pursuit the ends only when we see Him face to face."

Quote 3~ Page 16
"What people need today is truth- truth organized in a way that allows us to understand God is about. The primary problem with theology is that we have organized it according to man's prejudice. Theology should be the study of God, not our human interpretation of God."

Quote 1 page 26 "No man can preach about God worthily, no man can write about God worthily, unless that man knows God beyond his human ability."

Quote 2 page 28 "Quite frankly, I am dealing with the One you must believe in before you can deny Him: the One who is the Word, the One who enables us to speak concerning Him. On our own, we could produce only a caricature, and a poor one at that, and certainly not worthy of our worship. I refuse to worship anything of my own making."

Quote 3 page 31 "...confidence in God can come only when we begin to know God for who He is. It is my contention that only a true worshipper can know God. Religion can teach about God. Cold, textual theolog can teach you about God. But neither can really bring you into the presence of God, where you begin to know God and have confidence in God that you know. I contend that our faith in God comes naturally and automatically as we begin to know Him personally-not just know about God, an encounter that is not boxed in by reason or logic. A true encounter with God lifts us up above everything we know, and we begin to pierce that Cloud of Unknowing and come into the presence of God."

My Creative KJV Bible

My Creative Bible

This is the creative Bible that I got from Amazon. (photos from Amazon)

I love my creative Bible. I love taking notes on the side of the pages.
I love having all my study notes right in my Bible. The KJV Bible is the only translation I read.
I love my KJV Bible. This Bible is very beautiful.
It has things in it that you can color. And it has lots of room for note taking.

If you want a Bible that you can take everywhere with your notes right in it. Then I suggest this KJV Creative Bible.

My Thomas Reference Chain Bible

I love to take my Thomas Reference Chain Bible with me too.
This Bible has lots of studying material. And has lots of reference tools.
So that is what I use to study verses from. I read the study material that's in the back of this Bible.
But when I read the Bible I normally read out of my creative Bible.

My Matthew Henry Bible Commentary:

I also have a Matthew Henry Bible Commentary.

I got this for Christmas this year. So I haven't used it a whole lot. But so far I LOVE IT!

God has given us the opportunity to read and study his word.

Let's read and study his word!

Please comment below the type of Bible you have and love.

If you don't have a Bible yet, feel free to check out the Bibles I mentioned.

Why I'm Only Reading Books That Take Four Hours or Less

This year, I've made a decision that might sound strange to some readers: I'm mostly going to read books that would take four hours ...
